As a Latin and social dance lover, I decided to swap out salsa for some fast spins and classic grooves at Felipe Beltran’s hustle class in Midtown. With disco vibes and NYC energy pulsing through the room, it felt like stepping into a dance time capsule—with a modern twist.

I recently took a hustle class with Felipe—and he surely did not disappoint.
From the moment I stepped into the studio, the atmosphere was relaxed, friendly, and welcoming. Felipe greeted everyone with warmth and immediately made me feel part of the group.

He broke down the turn patterns thoroughly, explaining them from both the leader’s and the follower’s perspective. His teaching style was clear, patient, and detail-oriented, which made a huge difference in understanding the flow of the dance.

The first class was focused on fundamentals …. a great refresher that helped me clear up some important details I’d been missing in my hustle technique. The second class brought a different crowd and a bit more challenge, which I loved! Despite the higher difficulty, Felipe’s patience and clarity made the learning process fun and stress-free.

One of the highlights for me was how friendly and open everyone was. Whether you came alone or with a partner, it was easy to jump in and start dancing. The sense of community really stood out.
